4. Choice of Timber Species - We only use the highest grade and proven joinery timbers recognised for long term external use. Timbers include Western Red Cedar, Papua New Guinea Rosewood, Kwila/Merbau and selected Australian hardwood. Teal Windows will only use timbers like Surian (some times sold as Red Cedar or Calantis,) Meranti, Silky Oak and Amoora in our joinery factory if we are confident the product will last the test of time, be user friendly and are suitable for a particular appication.

5. Free Advice - Our experience is FREE to help you in the process of selecting the right timber for the right Window or Door. We also offer advice in the selection of glass and hardware.

6. Real Solid Timber - All our timber is solid, not solid finger jointed Western Red Cedar inner core with a Western Red Cedar veneer wraparound. Such products make for very difficult for revitalization work in the future. All our joints are mortise and tenon.

7. Australian Standards Certified Products - Teal Windows and Doors are design performance tested in a NATA accredited laboratory to comply with AS 2047-1999 for structural and water penetration performance which was mandatory from June 2001. The testing of Teal's products was so successful that we achieved an air-condition rating on all our units tested. This means by installing Teal windows and doors you will increase the energy efficiency of your home or building. Teal Windows will supply a certificate of compliance on request.

8. Glazing Options - Teal has many glazing options available including annealed glass, toughened glass, laminated or safety glass and double-glaze units. All products can be supplied as clear, tinted or obscure glass. Teal also supplies a large range of high performance glass.

9. Pre-hung Windows and Doors - All windows come hung in jamb with hardware fitted. Doors can be pre-hung as an optional extra. This can dramatically reduce installation time and final building cost.

10. Training Local People - Teal Windows apprentices and trains local people to ensure the future of the trade. We do our upmost to keep our workforce morale high and work closely with the Timber Trade Industrial Association and Workcover to insure a safe working environment.
